Oh my goodness! I love Rocki St. Claire! Her books bring me such joy. I just finished reading Gabriel Rossi's happily ever after. I've been waiting for this a day a very long time. I'm so glad, the time is here.Here are my thoughts on it.
Roxanne St. Claire's long anticipated story about Gabriel Rossi's "happily ever after" was well worth the wait. It was filled with mystery and suspense, interwoven in the only way that Roxanne St. Claire can weave. There was an infamous "shed scene" harking back to her romantic suspense days, a la Bullet Catchers and Guardian Angelinos.
The opening lines of Barefoot Dreams, grabbed me by the gut first, and I was hooked. That dream was pretty unexpected considering how I knew this novella was about one of my favorite characters, Gabe Rossi, and his wedding to Lila Wickham. My heart still races when I think about it. I love the wonderful cast of characters in this book, and all her series. Once the interpretation of the dream was fully revealed, I immediately thought of the possible angles this story could take. Oh, how I wish it was longer. There was so much more I wanted out of this novella, and that is because I'm a glutton when it comes to a St. Claire story.
It was good to see the tension unfold as the story progressed. St. Claire was able to pack so much in this story, though leaving readers wanting more. I'm glad that Gabe was still Gabe, and that I was able to visit with some beloved characters from previous books. This book made me laugh, and I will never look at another goat the same way again. Fear clutched my heart in certain scenes where I didn't know which character would be impacted the most by Poppy's interpretation of Lila's dream. Even as I was reading, my brain kept sifting through the possibilities. I'm glad, I was wrong.
The only thing wrong with this story is that it was too short. I so wanted a trip to Jamaica to see what types of antics Gabe and Lila would get into. There was a hint of a possible new book on the horizon with one of the family members as well. I mean psychologists can find themselves in pretty risky, mysterious, and suspenseful situations, right? That is but a dream. Oh, the extra at the end is pretty exciting as well. I can't wait to see if anything comes of Billie and her adventures in future books.
St. Claire wrote another great story in Barefoot Dreams. I can't wait to see what else happens in Barefoot Bay.
If you this is your first wade into Barefoot Bay, it is a good one. It makes me want to reread some of my favorites and rediscover this author anew. Check it out for yourself. Happy reading!

The hottest hero gets his HEA!! Not so easily, but life is never calm & quiet in Gabe's world. Wedding day bumps & complications make for a wonderful story about the new little family, reunited at last. A quick fun must-read!!
Barefoot bay Undercover, this was a very quick read, but still managed to have all the necessary parts of a good story, intrigue, romance and a happy ending. Although short it was a fun read.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series!!!!! The Rossi family is an amazing group of people!!!!! Can't wait to see if Nino and Poppy ever give in to love
Have Loved each and every Barefoot Bay book and Gabe and Lila did not disappoint. Loved seeing all my favorite family members reunited - especially Uncle Nino. Laugh out loud funny ( hysterical wit that is signature Roxanne St. Claire ) - almost fell off my chair when reading about Vincent Van Goat!!!

I love Roxanne St. Claire! I've read almost every book she has ever written and I'm never disappointed! Gabe has waited for his HEA for a long long time and when it's right there for him to have- it's snatched away and his world implodes. Great characters, setting and an amazing love story. What more could you want from Barefoot Bay? Terrific read!

A bad dream leads to a day of last minute adventures and superstitious mojo to prevent a devastating death.
A family reunion with many characters from the author's prior books both in the Barefoot Bay series, and the Guardian Angelinos series. These are just mentions mostly, so reading them is not necessary to fully enjoy this novella, however, if you have read them, it's a joy of its own to know all those couples and families live on.
A delightful novella for Barefoot Bay enthusiasts.
Bonus 20 page short story, Whirlwind. A short and hopeful romance.
I guess the Bodyguards are done. Too bad because their stories are terrific. This is a wrap up probably to end the series? Interesting to those of us who have followed these characters through so many challenges and adventures; probably confusing to those who haven't read the series. There are some special scenes, hint goat, which I won't mention because they alone are worth reading the book. There is way too much review of the other characters' backgrounds. Either the reader has already been there, at which time they don't need the review, or the reader hasn't read them and it just becomes a confusing mess. But I'm glad I read this last fun bit and also very much enjoyed the short story at the end. Roxanne's Bullet Catcher/ Bodyguard stories are superior. Her general romances are fine but not in the same caliber. Wish there was more of BC/B.
