Roxanne blinked in the dim light of the limo. This was far beyond anything she’d ever been asked for. A tiny voice said run, but a much louder, and far more excited voice said maybe she’d found the Holy Grail of clients. Almost every worker secretly hoped to find a long-term client that would take them out of permanent rotation, set them up as a kept mortal and see to their needs for the rest of their life, even if it meant the occasional feeding. Roxanne knew two women and one guy who’d gotten into arrangements like that. Last she heard, one of the women had become a vampire, the second was living in the lap of luxury and the guy was rumored to either be dead or living in Mexico City. If she could make it through 24 hours with this guy, impress him enough, maybe he’d keep her on permanent retainer. But not unless I get my head out of my ass and act the part.
“Is there a problem, Roxanne? I can enter your mind and read your thoughts, but I’d rather we keep open communication.”
Roxanne swallowed hard. “No, no problems. This is just beyond anything I’ve ever been hired to do…” Try sounding professional, Rox...stop thinking like a back-alley hooker. She cleared her throat. “I believe I’ll be able to fully satisfy your needs. The Service and I appreciate your business.”

Well-written and edited, I could only find a few mistakes. The content was delivered in a manner that was paced and interesting. The theme was very good and the story not succumbing to the cliche of the day.
I know how difficult it is to write and offer a book (or books) and see some sales with not a single review. Some other authors have the mind-blowing ability to offer a book and get three five-star reviews within two minutes of release. So I endeavor to rate what I read when the author has no reviews.
I would give this five stars, but for the following reasons it receives four:
A couple of misspellings - bit instead of bite, I'm instead of I.
Newspaper usage - 24 hours instead of twenty-four hours.
The predictability of Roxanne's thoughts - she kept thinking she blew it, repeatedly.

A very short hooker makes good story. Short sweet and happily ever after. Nice fast easy bedtime read. Would like a more longer story next time.
This was a very entertaining quick read. I hope that there will be more to come for Roxanne and Carlo.
This was a short, sexy read. Not really a plot though and the main character's goal was to be a kept woman. Not so cool, but I did like the hero. He was kind and his loneliness was endearing. The story just needed to be longer with some kind of conflict and motivation and better goals.
This was a good story. The premise of a call girl who serviced the needs of vampires was great. I think the hero Carlo was a bit let down by the author making him unsure and self conscious though. However, I enjoyed reading it, the length was great and it was fairly well written.
